Lead the organization's financial, accounting and tax operations. This leadership role is responsible for driving financial planning and reporting, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, implementing robust accounting systems, and aligning financial practices with the company’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Provide insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the organization’s tax strategy, planning, and compliance to ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations.
- Optimize the company’s tax position, including VAT/GST, corporate tax, transfer pricing, and tax credits.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies for tax filings and audits.
- Monitor and adapt to changes in tax legislation, ensuring the organization is proactive in addressing compliance risks.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and reporting.
- Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and implement changes in standards as required.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration within the finance function.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and monitor team performance.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage financial risks and oversee regulatory reporting.
- Lead audits and address findings promptly.
- Partner with other departments (e.g., operations, sales, and HR) to drive financial efficiency and align financial objectives with company goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing financial insights and recommendations for key business decisions.
- Present financial reports, tax updates, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or CA certification is required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years in senior finance, tax, or accounting roles, preferably in [industry food, manufacturing, financial services, tech].
